Roberto Baggio is set to return to football as part of Italy's national set-up.

Reports this morning in Italy said that Baggio, who retired from the game in 2004, would become president of the Italian Federation's technical committee.

The 43-year-old's agent, Vittorio Petrone, has confirmed that Baggio will hold talks with the federation's president, Giancarlo Abete.

"Roberto has decided to make himself available, it represents a great step forwards towards his return to the world of football," Petrone told Sky Italia.
